Blue Pikmin are humanoid creatures that are blue and have a stem sprouting from their heads topped with either a leaf or white bud or flower. They have white eyes with black pupils. They have pink gills that are shaped like a boomerang and resemble a mouth.

Blue Pikmin are known to hunt Wollywog eggs and young.
Blue Pikmin can breath underwater with the use of their gills. Water will also not stick to their leaves. Why their leaves repel water is unknown.
They can save other pikmin, but life-saving is not a high priority. If they are distracted in any way, they will ignore drowning pikmin despite normally being able to save them.
They are often found in water, and unless they are following outside leadership, will prefer to land their onion in the water.
